SMM Hamburg 2018 Highlights!

Kawasaki (KPM) have returned to the UK after exhibiting at SMM Hamburg 2018 4th-7th September! The trade fair brought together around 50,000 industry visitors from more than 120 countries, once again highlighting its importance as the leading international maritime trade fair. Under the motto "Trends in SMMart Shipping", the fair focused on digitalisation and ‘green shipping’ this year.

In April, Kawasaki Precision Machinery (UK) Ltd became the first member of the Plymouth Manufacturing Group to sign up to the 110-Club with Improving Lives Plymouth, a local charity providing information, advice and support services for people with disabilities and long-term health conditions.

In April this year, Kawasaki Precision Machinery will be exhibiting at Hannover Messe, alongside other Kawasaki divisions for the second year. Kawasaki at Agritechnica 2017!

Kawasaki will be exhibiting at Agritechnica 2017, highlighting our range of products for the agricultural market. At our first show in 2015, Kawasaki launched the K3VLS axial piston pump, and after the success of this product launch, the range has now been extended to include more frame sizes. This year Kawasaki will also exhibit HST products and various control valves which are applicable to a variety of agricultural and forestry machinery.

​SMM Hamburg, the leading international maritime trade fair, took place on the 6th-9th September 2016. This year it focused on Digitalisation to help the industry cope with a difficult market situation. More than 2,200 exhibitors from all over the world participated in the event, with roughly 50,000 industry visitors, and 93,000 square metres of exhibition space.

The recent release of the Kawasaki Ninja HR2 not only introduced the world’s most powerful production motorcycle, but also demonstrated what the combined engineering resources of the various Kawasaki divisions could achieve. Drawing on the expertise of the Kawasaki technology centre, the Ninja HR2 project was able to utilise technologies developed for aerospace and gas turbine applications to achieve outstanding results. In a similar way the new K3VLS series hydraulic pump from Kawasaki's precision machinery division is also a result of the combined efforts of Kawasaki group engineers.

Pump efficiency means fuel savings

Kawasaki has recently launched the K8V axial piston pump series, designed for closed circuit applications in industrial and construction machinery. The optimised design contributes to reducing fuel consumption due to the high pump efficiency, whilst ensuring a comfortable operator environment due to the low noise level.
