2,600 Tonnes of Marine Crane - Kawasaki Staffa motors and K3V pumps take the load

KPM's distributor Tokawa Precision Company have supplied a combination of 32 Staffa B and C motors and 8 sets of 180cc Tandem K3V pumps (8 x 360cc) in this massive 2600 tonne floating crane built by Powertech (China) Ltd.

20 of the Staffa Motors are equipped with manifolds which include a range of Hydronar Proportional Marine Valves. This combination of Hydronar Marine Valves and Kawasaki High Torque Staffa Motors enables the ultimate solution for the reliable control and operation high of load marine winch gear.

With a total installed Hydraulic pumping capacity of approximately 5,000 litres per minute this truly is a demanding marine application, an environment in which Kawasaki products excel.

The end customer, the China Engineering Harbour Company, operates a fleet of over 800 modern dredgers, floating cranes, pile drivers, barges and work boats many of which utilise Kawasaki pumps and motors as their sources of reliable fluid power.
